小提琴家爸爸在柏林救了一隻可愛的小狗帶回芬蘭，它成了小女兒珠兒的最愛和最好的朋友。小狗逐漸長大，也開始展現本性保護小主人，在小鎮引起了一陣混亂，而家人也考慮是否該繼續養下去？這是一部適合喜歡動物的小朋友和父母一起觀賞的影片，片中藉由飼養寵物深入討論了許多家庭教養的問題，生動活潑、絕不八股。  

A father visiting the crumbling Berlin Wall rescues a cute puppy, Stormheart, and takes him back to Finland as a pet for his daughters. No one knows anything about the dog, not even its breed. Little by little, the mystery of Stormheart unravels, and the dog’s new owners learn more about him. They find out that Stormheart’s parents had served as guard dogs at the Berlin Wall.
